Stage Lighting

Stage Lighting System
Stage lighting can be used in Special Needs or main stream schools to enhance any prize day or production. An up to date and comprehensive stage lighting system can be designed to your specific requirements. Careful attention will be paid to ensure that the control system is as easy to use as possible, and yet is still capable of controlling, not only the lighting provided, but future additions at a later date. The system can consist of several different types of stage lighting which can be control by one person or more. The lights can be suspended on a trussing bar, secured to the ceiling. or from horizontal or vertical wall bars. Full training can be given at point of installation to ensure that the staff has complete confidence in its use. Additional training, for new staff, can be arranged at any time.

Trussing
We strongly recommend the installation of a trussing structure mounted from the ceiling, in front of the stage or from the adjacent walls. The use of trussing provides a strong and safe fixing for all of the equipment and allows the easy repositioning of any item should it be found necessary at a later date. The use of trussing also reduces the need to run cables across the ceiling or drill the ceiling.

It is imperative that the products have the best possible fixing to ensure that nothing can fall and cause injury therefore all products fixed to the trussing should also have additional safety wires fitted as standard.

Moving Head lights
Moving Heads are the most versatile of all of your stage lighting effects and provide a multitude of features which are accessible from the stage lighting controller. Moving heads are capable of producing a soft or hard edged beam of light called a spot, or a wash (which colours over a larger area). A choice of various colours (including white) is available. Each of these colours can be projected through many different images and shapes (gobos). But the most important feature of a moving head light is that it can be directed to any position from the lighting desk and that position can be stored in the lighting desk for future use. Also the moving head can point anywhere in the room and not just at the stage, enabling you to cover a full 360 degrees, using them to highlight any area or feature in the whole room. Moving head lights can be installed on a trussing bar or on the floor.

Fresnel Floodlights
Stage Fresnel floodlights can be fitted onto a trussing bar or lighting stand, these floodlights, unlike the "LED Colour-wash floodlights" (which wash a wide area), allow you to illuminate a more concentrated area of the stage. Each of these lanterns can be individually controlled and dimmable and a set of colour filters can be provided to allow you to colour a beam if desired.

Profile Spotlights
Profile spotlights are generally used to "spotlight" individuals or objects on stage and provide a sharp edged focusable beam. The spotlights can be individually controlled and dimmable and can be provided with a set of colour filters, should you wish, to colour the light beam.

Follow Spot
A Follow Spot can be supplied. A follow spot is manually controlled (moved) by a person with three positioning handles. A follow spot features colour mixing between the 3 colours on coloured levers for identification, enabling you to project any colour of your choice onto the performance area or create an instantaneous black out. A follow spot can have a manually focussed beam and a manual iris (enabling you to adjust the size of the projected spot). The cost of this product does not include the cost of the lamp.

Tripod Stand for Follow Spot
An adjustable aluminium tripod follow spot stand can be supplied to enable you to site the follow spot in the most convenient position and at the correct height to reach over the heads of a seated audience.

The tripod stand features:
Smooth rolling locking casters
360-degree continuous pan
Adjustable Height 1-1,5m
23 kg max. load

Stage Lighting Desk
A Stage Lighting desk can have a LCD monitor, or not, depending on your requirements. This Lighting desk will enable lighting control for various levels of knowledge. For simple control, it will be possible to simply move a slider and dim up and down any individual lighting effect. For more advanced control, you will be able to program and store complete scenes of lighting, with all different colours, direction and times etc. and recall that whole scene on one slider, or even record a sequence of scenes and ask the desk to replay the scenes automatically. A professional lighting desk, will give you complete control over the moving head lighting as well, allowing you to store not only colours and images (gobos) but also the exact position that the product was pointing.

Main Control Cabinet permanently fixed
A main control cabinet can be installed in view of the stage or performance area. This cabinet can carry all of the equipment for the sound system as well as the control needed for the lighting. The cabinet is of steel construction with a ventilated lockable front door.

Mobile Control Console
The audio and lighting control can be housed in a specially manufactured console. This console can feature a lockable front and top and can be fitted with castors with brakes. The console can also feature two extending tables to allow the use of laptops or scripts. For ease of teaching, this unit can be placed near the stage to be on hand whilst rehearsing or positioned at the back of the audience when in production.
